2026.3.0 - schedule.ps1 ignores a job

avatar

Hi,

i currently used version 2026.3.0 and told a colleague to create a schedule to execute a job every week on Friday.
Now, we wanted to change this job to every first day of month and i pointed him to the right setting in the GUI for that.
The scheduler did not execute this job - and he told me that he cannot find this scheduler anymore.

Error message:
Error deserializing C:\ProgramData\UniversalAutomation\Repository\.universal\schedules.ps1. Parameter set cannot be resolved using the
specified named parameters. One or more parameters issued cannot be used together or an insufficient number of parameters were provided.

Resolution:
modify schedules.ps1

From: New-PSUSchedule -Script 'prod\Export Infos.ps1' -TimeZone 'Europe/Berlin' -Name 'Export Infos' -Minute 1 -Day @("FRI") -EveryMonth -DayOfMonth 1
To : New-PSUSchedule -Script 'prod\Export Infos.ps1' -TimeZone 'Europe/Berlin' -Name 'Export Infos' -Minute 1 -EveryMonth -DayOfMonth 1

Then the schedule was visibile again.

Please check/remove previous settings by saving new values.

I dont know if this error is already fixed in newer versions - i did not find any hint in release notes.
But for sure, i'll udate now.

Hi @andreasmrvka, thank you for letting us know about this. I'm glad you were able to get this working in your environment. It appears that in some cases, old schedule values aren't cleared when editing which is causing the extra/invalid parameters in schedules.ps1. I've opened a ticket to fix this.
