It would be nice to have some kind of variable or cache availability in published folder files. I know that technically you could just set up an API endpoint, but I still would like it in other ways.

@Dynamic66 Are you envisioning that we run some sort of code from a published folder? Or do we serve the value of those items from the published folder so there is no code to run?

Maybe something like:

New-PSUPublishedFolder -Path / -Route /files -Variable @("MyVar")


Then you would do something like:

Invoke-WebRequest http://localhost:5000/files/MyVar


That would return the value of the variable.

More like injecting some dynamic element, like a variable, into a static HTML file served by a published folder... but after thinking about it, it does not make much sense to implement something like this when the PSU API already covers what I wanted.
