Keyboard shortcuts don't seem to work, in particular "Execute command from palette" in an SSH session

I've encountered another issue (I can open a separate case if necessary).
I can't use any keyboard shortcuts, particularly the ones for executing predefined commands, macros, or scripts in an SSH session.
