Add Native Password Safe / PwdSafe Import Support in Devolutions Cloud

We are migrating from Password Safe / PwdSafe to Devolutions Cloud, but there does not appear to be a dedicated import template for Password Safe.

Devolutions Cloud supports CSV/JSON imports from several password managers, but Password Safe/PwdSafe requires manual reformatting and field mapping. This creates additional migration effort and increases the risk of missing data or incorrect imports.

Please consider adding a native Password Safe / PwdSafe import option under Help & tools → Import, with support for common fields such as title, group/folder, username, password, URL, notes, custom fields, created/modified dates, and password expiry.

This would make migrations from Password Safe to Devolutions Cloud much easier, safer, and faster.

Thank you for the feature request! I will create a ticket to add a native Password Safe / PwdSafe import option. This option will be available in the web interface and in the Devolutions Password Manager app as well.

Hi,

We’ve implemented the Password Safe importer in the Devolutions Password Manager desktop app. It will be included in the next minor release, which is currently scheduled for tomorrow.
The importer will also be added to the Devolutions Cloud web app at a later date. In the meantime, you can use the desktop app to import your entries.

To access the importer from the desktop app:

  1. Add your Devolutions Cloud workspace.
  2. Open Tools from the left-hand sidebar.
  3. Select the Import Entries tab.


Please let us know if you encounter any issues during the import process.
