In order to save cpu and memory resources on our PSU instance we dont have all apps running 24/7. Currently when a technician wants to use an app that is offline they have to ask me to turn it on for them. I would like to see a way to grant the ability to turn an app on via the PSU portal and have the ability tied to security roles.
another nice thing to have in addition to this/along side this would be a way to automatically turn off apps that are idle and have no active sessions for X minutes.
I really like this idea. It reminds me of how IIS and Azure work. It could really save resources when apps don't really need to be running. We could even make it transparent where if a user was accessing an app that wasn't running but could be started, it would start and then after some idle time, stop again.
