5.6.8: Lots of 'module discovery'

Hi y’all,

Having upgraded from 5.6.4 to 5.6.8 we’re seeing 50 or so processes on an unused server for ‘Module Discovery’. Is this expected? Does it last forever or pass once all the exciting things have been discovered?

Seeing the same thing. Our test server currently has 451 processes, most of them related to module discovery.

Damn. It doesn’t seem like this issue is super widespread, I wonder if our two servers share some particular quirk?

Seems that way. I think it’s just some lingering records in the database. The processes aren’t actively running on the server. We are using a mssql database.

We’ve got a fix coming for this. It’s just a reporting problem with the process records not being removed from the database properly.
