PSU 2.6.0 hosted in IIS stop working when using InProcess

I’ve opened an issue for this and will get it in the 2.6.1 release.

Getting the same when trying to start 2.6.0 in an App Service using the ZIP file release (2.4.1 works fine) :

So far i have tested the latest nightly release of 2.6.1 and the issue is resolved when using InProcess hosting model in web.config

I have been testing this issue with V3 and i saw that its fixed but it still exist on v 2.7.0, can this issue been fixed in version 2.7.1

Not currently reproducing this on the latest 2.7.1 build but I didn’t change anything related to this. You can disable the kestrel negotiate handler so you don’t run into this exception by setting the environment variable PSU_DISABLE_WIN_AUTH to anything.

We check for APP_POOL_ID to determine if we are running within IIS and that will also disable the negotiate handler.

where is this settings located?

It’s just an environment variable we check for.

The APP_POOL_ID should be provided automatically by IIS.

This one doesn’t exist by default: PSU_DISABLE_WIN_AUTH

You could add it to disable this functionality.

The APP_POOL_ID is created internally by IIS so you won’t see it listed in your system environment variables.

Just wanted to post here that I encountered this issue running v3.9.16. I had to add the environment variable Adam pointed out in order for PshellU to start within IIS after setting to Preload.
