SSH session font scaling on high dpi laptop

SSH session font scaling on high dpi laptop

avatar

Hello,
I'm mainly use RDP on my Linux system (Fedora 43 KDE) for SSH sessions. The laptop is a high dpi 2880x1920 scaled with 165%. I have to set the font size to 22 so I can read something ... but when I connect to a external monitor with lower dpi and scaling 100% it will be too big.
Is there a way to automatically scale correctly depending on system settings?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out. We are currently trying to recreate the issue on our end to better understand the font scaling behavior on a high DPI display.

We will get back to you as soon as we have more information.

Best regards,

Hello,

We were able to recreate the issue on our end. RDM does not currently auto-scale the SSH session font based on the display it is shown on, so the font size stays fixed when moving between your high DPI laptop screen and the external monitor.

I have forwarded this to our development team for further review.

Best regards,

Carl Marien
