Hi Support Team,
I have a centralized question regarding troubleshooting: Where can I activate and view the application logs in the Linux version of RDM?
I have been using RDM on Windows since the beginning of my project, but I recently switched my desktop environment to Linux. My goal is to replicate my Windows workflow, but I’ve already noticed that the Linux version has fewer features. I want to approach this step-by-step.
Currently, I primarily use RDM for server administration via web interfaces (Proxmox VE, PBS, TrueNAS, etc.) and SSH.
I am trying to use embedded tabbed browsing with automatic login (Username/Password), but it is not working as expected. To better understand what is happening under the hood, I would like to start by analyzing the logs.
Could you please point me to the log settings and the log file location on Linux?

There's a .rdm directory in your home directory (~/.rdm) that will have the log files as well as anything else needed for the application. Depending on the log level you set in the app you might need either of these files.
RemoteDesktopManager.log
RemoteDesktopManager.debug
sorry this should be not in bug report, please move it to support.

Thanks @tmashos for providing the correct log location.
Just to add a small tip for troubleshooting: running remotedesktopmanager from a terminal can also generate useful runtime logs directly in the console, which may help identify issues more quickly.
Regarding the behavior you described, I would also be interested in understanding the root cause of the issue.
Could you confirm a few additional details?
This information should help us narrow down whether the issue is related to the embedded browser, automatic login handling, or something specific to the Linux build.
Thanks!
Carl Marien

@tmashos
thanks a lot, big mistake from my site. I always was looking at ~/.rdm/Logs/ becaus of the paths settings at rdm general settings.
