RDM dpi/scaling issue on Linux Mint
I have installed RDM 2025.3.2.3 on a notebook (ThinkPad X1 Yoga Gen 3) with Linux Mint 22.3 (Cinnamon).
- The notebook has a 14 inch display with 2560x1440 pixels
- When "Monitor scaling" in Mint is set to 150%, the ribbon is not scaled accordingly
- When "Monitor scaling" in Mint is set to 100%, the ribbon is correct
- I haven't found any setting in RDM where I could change this
Is this a known issue? Is there a way to work around this?

A feature improvement request has already been opened regarding HiDPI / fractional scaling behavior under Wayland (including KDE Plasma and similar environments).

I’ve reached out to our developers to confirm whether this is a known limitation/bug with UI scaling on Linux.
In the meantime, the only reliable workaround I’m aware of is running Mint at 100% scaling (where the ribbon renders correctly), and then compensating via:
- Increasing system font size / text scaling in Cinnamon, and/or
- Adjusting application theme/font settings to improve readability
As soon as I hear back from the dev team, I’ll update you with what they confirm and any recommended next steps.
