Web-Entry Option - Username "toLower" (write username always lowercase if activated)

Hello,

we encourage our users to create their personal credentials (active directory SAM-Accountname + password) in the user vault, casesesitive. For most use-cases when linking those credentials (via "search in User-Vault"), it doesn't matter, either it is casesensitive or not. For some (linux), it does. That why we advice the casesensitive spelling. We do have one website, which needs the same personal credentials, but in lowercase. The same SAM-Accountname like in the active directory, but lowercase. We don't want to create a seperate pair of credentials with the same password, just with another username. This would mean, the user would always have to change the password on password rotation on two points. Would it be possible, to implement an option (Entry-Property) which writes the username of credentials lowercase, if activated?

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

We could add a new "Lowercase" username format to the "Advanced" section of all entries. This way it would work not only for websites but all other entry types.

Would that work for you?

Hello,

We've added the username format Lowercase to the section mentioned by Michael Beaudin. You can expect this to take effect with the upcoming 2025.2.28 version.
