Hi,
I got a report from one of the users that she updated few entries of credentials in her private vault and all the changes were somehow lost. I actually could at some point recreate the scenario, my RDM allowed the open properties and edit credential at the moment I put RDM in offline mode, once I got back online the change was lost and since all logs are read from database I cannot find any traces I did the change. Is it possible to fetch the activity logs from RDM app - the profiler was set to default level 1. Caching mode is file.
Is there any setting that could cause undesired write mode of cache - setting on both users for offline mode is read-only.
RDM: 2024.3.31
DVLS: 2024.3.13
Best regards,
Rok

Hi Rok,
I will have to validate, but it looks like a bug in the 2024.3 version.
Off the top of my head, with the user vault, even with offline mode set to read-only, RDM will allow you to change them while offline since they are your entries, and no merge conflicts should occur when they sync back to the server upon reconnecting.
As for the logs, in theory, they were saved locally and sent to the server on the next connect. However, since you lost your modifications, you might (most likely) also have lost the logs.

Our internal investigation has concluded that this is indeed a bug with the v2024.3 (RDM/DVLS) and is no longer reproducible with version v2025.2.

Thank you Stéfane, we will try to get up to date with our installation.
