Hello,
I'm using RDM as a Flatpak on Fedora Workstation. Unfortunately, working with the SFTP session on Linux is not as smooth as on Windows.
I don't know why, but every time I double-click a file to open it, the contents of the folder—or specifically the file—are displayed multiple times. Before the first double-click, everything looks fine, but then more and more duplicate entries appear. When checking with the Fedora file manager, I can confirm that the files are only present once, as expected.
Unfortunately, it's also not possible to directly open files on the host using VSCodium or another text editor (download), edit them, and then save them again (upload). This works without any issues in the Windows version. I’m aware there is a post stating that this doesn't work on Windows either, but I can't confirm that—in my case (with the current version 2025.2.17.0), it works fine. As far as I can remember, it had worked before as well.
I hope that a future version will make editing .yml or .conf files easier.

The file browsers in RDM are currently being completely reworked, and the changes will be effective in a few months (version 2025.3).
Regarding the issue where the contents of your folder get duplicated, I was able to reproduce it and have created a ticket so we can fix it in the meantime.
As for the inability to open files with the text editor of your choice and upload them directly, I’ve also created a ticket to ensure we revisit this when the rework goes live.

thank you for your response! I'm glad to hear that the file browser is being reworked. I believe that, aside from web sessions, SFTP is one of the most frequently used features.
