Unable to retrieve 1Password Credentials

Unable to retrieve 1Password Credentials

avatar

This error started happening after upgrading from version 2025.1.41.0 to 2025.2.16.0. I tried upgrading to 2025.2.17.0 but the problem persisted. I have temporarily rolled back to 2025.1.41.0 and it is working again at this version.

Hello Lightk2,

Thank you for getting in touch with us. To better assist you, could you kindly provide us with the following information:

- A screenshot of your 1Password entry configuration without sensitive information.

- The data source you are utilizing.

- Could you please try changing your secret key when updating to version 2025.2.17.0 to see if you still receive the error message?

Unfortunately, we are unable to reproduce your issue. Once we have this information, we will be better equipped to diagnose and resolve the issue.

Best regards,

Maxim Robert

Here are the 1Password settings for my account, as well as the configuration for "My personal credentials".

We are utilizing a SQL Server database as our data source, though I have my 1Password credentials set to save locally. I have tried saving them to the database instead but the behavior remains the same. I also tried changing my secret key as suggested but with no success.

Hello,

Could you please let us know whether you are using MFA or OTP to access 1Password? If so, kindly specify the provider you are using.

Best regards,

We use Duo MFA. For what it's worth, I receive the Duo prompt and can send an approval on my phone; the "Unable to retrieve 1Password Credentials" error only appears after I approve the Duo request.
