Hi

I'm trying to install Workspace on kicksecure (Debian GNU/Linux 12 (bookworm)) but I get the following error:

sudo apt install -f ./workspace_2025.2.1.0_amd64.deb
[sudo] password for user:
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
Reading state information... Done
Note, selecting 'workspace' instead of './workspace_2025.2.1.0_amd64.deb'
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
workspace : Depends: libcurl4t64 but it is not installable
Depends: libjpeg-turbo8 but it is not installable
E: Unable to correct problems, you have held broken packages.
zsh: exit 100 sudo apt install -f ./workspace_2025.2.1.0_amd64.deb

How to proceed?

Hello,

Thank you for reaching out regarding this matter.

At this time, it's difficult to determine the exact cause of the issue. I will consult with our development team and follow up with their insights as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience.

Hi Lars, in order to be able to install Workspace on a Linux environment, you must have all these requirements installed: https://docs.devolutions.net/workspace/workspace-desktop/Installation/. The main problem for you seem to be libcurl4t64. On KickSecure, I don't really know if you have access to these dependencies.

Yes.
It looks like Debian only has libcurl4, not libcurl4t64, but they are testing for the Trixie release.

They also only have libjpeg-turbo, not libjpeg-turbo8, and not even in testing.

So, I'll have to install them manually.
