Show message when vault is opened

Thank you for your suggestion. If I understand correctly, you kept all your "old" vaults empty and migrated the content to a new vault? Was changing the vault name an option?

sometimes this can be done but we have vaults which are renamed and split, so the vault "project A - which now also contains project B and C for reasons" should be split into vaults "A, B, C".
A prompt telling the people right away what happened would benefit all users.

Also sometimes the users which have rights granted in "old-project A" (which is now split into "new-A", "new-B") do not have access to either "new-A" or "new-B" and must thus be informed where now to look for. In rare conditions the "old-A" is kept for another week or two in read-only mode so that people can still work as before but really should be using the new vaults (and won't if they are not told howto do so).

Thank you for your answer. I understand your need. We don't have a message available on vault yet, I keep your request in mind and see what could be done.

Meanwhile, I don't know if it is something that could help your team, but we have what we call a system message. It is a message displayed when a user connects to Devolutions Server. You can find documentation here.

If your reorganization is too big and you don't want to document everything in the same system message, I could suggest you to add a note called "_ReadMe" in each vault. It will show something like this :

yes, I was thinking of the system message when writing this feature request; my idea was to have something exactly like system message but only when a vault with a "vault message" is opened (maybe even with an option "don't show again"). The readme is there but is not seen by users 😔
