In RDM Linux, in the Name column (left column), to be able to type letters and the cursor changes position accordingly, finding a name that begins with those letters, like in RDM Windows.

Hello dominic,

I created a ticket to add a similar feature to our TreeView.

GTK TreeView already has a similar behavior—if you press Ctrl + F, a small search bar appears, allowing you to search without reloading the entries. However, there's a bug that prevents the dashboard from loading the new selection. We'll look into fixing that as well.

Hi dominic.

I just wanted to inform you that those issues should be resolved in the upcoming version (2025.2.1). It should be released in the next few weeks.

It won't work exactly like it does in the Windows version, but, hopefully, you'll find our implementation satisfactory. Simply typing on your keyboard while navigating the Connection Tree will change the cursor's position to the first connection that starts with what was typed and hitting up and down arrows will cycle through all matches.

Best regards.
