Hello,
we'd appreciate the option to enforce e.g. Microsoft Edge/Google Chrome/anything else than the default browser of the OS for all users when authenticating within the appliance.
Use case: old terminal server that defaults to IE, which is necessary for certain applications to work, so changing this within the RDM/DS itself would be much appreciated
Thanks!
Hello,
Thank you for your feature request. You're right that using a specific browser could be helpful in some cases. We already have a ticket in our system for that. Unfortunately, I don't have an ETA, but I'm linking your request with the ticket and will see if it could be done short term. We will post back here once we have an update.
Best regards,
François Dubois
Hello François,
thank you for the status update!
We're now close to rolling out the RDM to another one of our branches; it would really save us a lot of trouble and manual manipulation.
Thanks, best regards, and have a nice weekend!
Dominik
Instead of specific browser I think there should just be an embedded browser and the window should auto close after the authentication, it will also save a lot of confusion with users when they authenticated but RDM is still at the background.
Hello @benseroussi,
I have added your voice to the request to automatically close the browser after authentication, as we received here: https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/43784/entra-id-authentication-close-browser-tabwindow-after-login
We will keep it mind that it could be useful to open the login in an embedded browser and will follow this thread to see if it could be useful for other users.
Best regards,
