Hello everyone,
I've recently deployed our new Devolutions instance and I'm running into some issues with authentication.
Not sure exactly where to raise this topic, as it is a combination of DVLS and RDM.
Current set up:
Devolutions Server 2024.2.13.0 (stable)
Remote Desktop Manager 2024.3.18.0 64-Bit
Authentication: SSO via Entra ID
I've tried to upgrade the Server to version 2024.3.8.0. However, after doing that, authentication via Entra ID no longer works. The error message is:
Error while trying to retrieve the token.
The reason I need to upgrade is that, if I run DVLS 2024.2.13.0 and RDM 2024.3.18.0, credentials cannot be viewed in RDM:
Unable to resolve password or sensitive information. Please refresh the data and try again.
They can only be viewed in the web interface.
With RDM 2024.2.21.0 64-bit, this is not an issue. But that is an older version.
Any tips from your side that would help fix the issue will be greatly appreciated!
Thank you very much!
All the best,
Victor.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out!
My name is William and I'm here to assist you in any way I can.
The issue you are facing in the 2024.3 version is caused by this checkbox here:
Before upgrading, please make sure that you have a Devolutions User configured as an admin. This will allow you to log in to the Devolutions Server even if your primary authentication method is not working.
Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best regards,
