Hello,

Thank you for your request. To help me understand your request better, could you elaborate on where you would like to be able to sort vaults? Is it in the side panel in the web interface where you would like to be able to order them differently? Don't hesitate to add screenshot and point us where you think it would be useful. Thank you.

Best regards,

In the vault selection dropdown in RDM, but I guess if there was a sort priority on the vault itself it could easily be applied to the Web UI as well.

At the moment the only way to set the order is to do A_<vault name>, B_<vault name>

Hello,

Thank you for your answer. Now I understand where you would like to have a different sorting, but you're right, if we change it in RDM, it would make sense to apply it in the Web interface as well. Before going further, I would like to know if you expect a specific order? Your need, is it to sort your vault to have vaults that you use often at the beginning? We already support a favorite vault feature to help users quickly access what they use often. Do you use that feature? My goal is only to find the best solution that will fit many users' needs. Thanks in advance for your answer.

I want to be able to define the sort order for users because, largely, they’re not going to go and mark vaults as favourites.

The ideal solution would be display vaults marked as favourite according to sort priority, then display vaults NOT marked as favourite according to sort priority.

In our case, the two most used vaults start with I and U so sorting alphabetically as they currently do is annoying as they’re at different ends of the list so users are constantly scrolling up and down.

Hello,

Thank you for your answer. If I understand correctly, you would like to modify the order for your users. You don't want your users to set that order, you want to set it to all your users and all users will have same base order, am I right ?

Yep, that's correct.

Exactly the same way as you can set the sort order on connections.
