Hello everyone,
I need some guidance. I was about to configure domain authentication, so I unchecked the option to authenticate with the Devolutions Server user and selected the option to authenticate with a domain user, without having any domain configured. As a result, I am now locked out and unable to log in.
I understand that I should have configured the domain first, but I also believe the system should prevent this from happening.
Is there a way to re-enable the Devolutions Server user authentication method?
Thank you so much,
Fernando Bueno

Hello,
If you have access to the BD, you can go in SSMS under the dbo.AppSettings table and use the "Edit top 200 rows" option in the context menu. From there, you can find the row with the name "AuthenticationWithMembership" and change the status from False to True.

Please let me know if you have any questions.
Best regards,

Hi William,
It worked. Would it be possible to open a request to address this specific configuration scenario in a future release?
Kind Regards,
Fernando
Hello,
Thank you for the feedback. I'll send the information to our development team and see what we can do about that.

Hello,
I wanted to let you know that we've opened an internal case as a feature request to add either a warning when disabling the Devolutions Server User authentication or to prevent disabling it when no other method is selected.
Best regards,
