Devolutions Gateway Tunnel - How to use for SSH port forwarding?

avatar

Hello,

Wondering if anyone here would be able to help me with how to configure the Devolutions Gateway Tunnel session type so we can use it to tunnel SSH. Right now we use Linux jump servers and set them as the SSH Gateway on our normal SSH entries, but we are wanting to replace that setup with just using the Devolutions Gateway Tunnel since we now have the Devolutions Gateways.

Thank you!

Hello Griffeth,

Thank you for your insightful question. Yes, you can indeed utilize our gateway to establish an SSH tunnel. I will share our documentation link with you, which provides instructions on setting up the tunnel through Devolutions Gateway: Documentation Link.
Once the tunnel is established, you can then create your SSH session and associate it with this tunnel.
You'll have the option to initiate an SSH tunnel through your Devolutions Gateway.

Hi, Michel!

Thank you for your response! That is the documentation I've been using, however I'm afraid I must not fully understand it, as I have been unable to get an SSH connection working.

Thank you,

We found that we were able to just use the regular Devolutions Gateway option in the VPN setting for SSH connections, so no need for the tunnel connection type.

We did successfully get the tunnel type working for SOCKS5 proxy. I think we're good on this. Thank you!
