Creating more tags

Hello everyone
I am integrating the Devolutions Server to our company.
We have a lot of users we want to give access to this system.
For that I would like to create seperate tags to get a better overview which department the user is part of.
Maybe it could be also an option to show which rights the users have without editing the users.

Thank you for your request. From what I understand, you would like to be able to create custom tags for users, am I correct? Currently, we support two built-in tags: 'External Users' and 'Privileged User.' We could potentially add the option for users to create their own tags. It is not something planned in the short term, but I am taking note of it and will see where it could fit in our development cycles. We will keep you posted once we have an update on that.

Exactly, that is what we would like to have.
I don't know if it is already possible but it would be great to set more then one tag to one user.

We already support to assign many tags on a user, so you could have a user with tag Privileged AND External. So it should not be a problem for that. I will create a ticket in our backlog to support custom tags. I don't have an ETA for that, but we will analyze if we prioritize that feature.

I'm creating the ticket and had some questions so I would like to get more info. What would you like to do with those tags ? You said that you would like to have a better overview which department the user is part of. Would it be enough to see tags in users list and be able to filter the user list with tags or would you like to see user's tags at a specific place in the application ? Of course, we would add probably filters by tags in users report as well. And finally, how many users do you have in Devolutions Server ? I assume that you have many users and the current view is difficult to use to manage all your users.
If you have any other specific ideas, don't hesitate to share them with us.

Our intention with the tags is that we can sort our users by their departments and thus maintain a much better overview.
Therefore, it would be enough for us to be able to see the tags in the user overview and to be able to filter and sort the list by the tags.
We currently have a license for the use of over 55 users, which we will use almost all of them in the future.
