Assign License via AD Group Membership

We have already received similar request. The difficulty with that is what happened if at some point, you have more users than you have licenses ? Which user will not have license ? And of course, we have to think about how to synchronize groups and users with that license. I'm taking note of your suggestion, I will talk with colleagues to see what could be done. Thank you.

After discussion, we could improve the feature "auto-assign" on a license to set a group on it. So user from that group could use the client (RDM, launcher...) and a license would be assigned to the user on the first connection. Other user should be assigned manually. Of course, if you remove a user from the group, you should remove the license to that user manually. Would it work for you ?

that would be great. It would do exactly what I need and I would still have the flexibility to add users manually.

It is now possible to configure user groups on a license. This feature will allow you to limit auto-assignment to users from specific groups. This is available in build 2024.3.
