Recording Purge

A method for purging recording after a set amount of time would be a great addition.

Even better would be the ability to possibly archive these recordings to preserve for reference while reducing the disk space required for the recordings.

Hello,

Thank you for your suggestion. We already have a ticket in our backlog to add a purge on recording. I don't have an ETA for now, but as soon we have update on that, we will post back here.

Best regards,

François Dubois

Hello, can you respond with a timeframe as this is increasingly becoming a problem for us and our nine gateway servers. Adding high speed disk is not a good long-term solution. An Auto Archive would be invaluable to this issue so we can move our recoding's to archives for long-term storage... for scale, we are just over 10% in our project for users onboarded and are already pushing over 700GB of storage over a 6 mo. period. Much of the data growth has happened in the last 3 months. Goal is over 600 users opening sessions daily.

Hello,

Good news, we have improved our solution in our latest version, 2025.1. I was waiting for the official release to post here, but we released it in BETA a few weeks ago, and the official release should be available in 2 weeks. You can see details to get the BETA version here: https://forum.devolutions.net/topics/44042/beta-version-2025110-february-18-2025

With that version, it is now possible to enable an automatic cleanup on the gateway. You will also see the storage available on the Devolutions Gateway.

Let us know if it helps and if something is missing.

Best regards,

François Dubois
