ssh tunnel does not launch when RDP session is launched on linux RDM
I may be missing something but I am pretty sure there is something not quite right on the linux RDM client.
I cannot seem to trigger the ssh tunnel session to launch from a RDP host config that was using it as a session vpn/tunnel/gateway.
I exported this config from a windows instance of RDM where it worked as expected, but it is not working on linux.
Can you help?
Hello,
Is the SSH Tunnel configured in the VPN/Tunnel/Gateway properties of your entry in RDM Linux after the import?

Most definitely!
I have tried it multiple ways; comparing the windows versions with the linux versions and even created all of the configurations by hand in other attempts.
The export/import was only after I exhausted all of my attempts to do it from scratch on the linux instance. It was a sanity check in the windows version that the things I was doing were actually the right things to make it work.
Is there a way to crank up logs on the RDP entry to see what it's actually doing?
Hello,
Thank you for your feedback.
Sure, you can raise the Verbose Logs level to 2.

That's the problem... I don't think the ssh session is being triggered from the rdp session. At least I don't see any evidence of that which is why I was hoping for logs from the RDP object.
Bob.
Hello,
Can you launch RDM with this command, run your RDP session and then send us the LogRDM.txt file:
WLOG_LEVEL="DEBUG" remotedesktopmanager > LogRDM.txt

Gabriel Dubois
I noticed that there was output to STDOUT and STDERR when I ran it with that environment variable (if that makes any difference to the problem) so I split that output into separate files that I have uploaded in the attachments dialog below.
Here I also include a screenshot of the dialog box that shows it waiting for the vpn/gateway to come up.
Thanks,
Bob.

Hello,
Thank you for the session we had. It provided a clear understanding of your setup, which we can now replicate in our lab for further analysis.
You mentioned attempting to recreate the issue in another distro. Please keep us updated on your findings.
