Strange SSH connection behavior

Strange SSH connection behavior

avatar

What happens is that when I connect to a remote server via SSH, if I save the password in the connection configuration, the connection works, but if I flag "Always ask password", after entering the password in the "Validation code" field and giving the OK, the connection fails with the message: "The passphrase invalid".
EDIT: Linux RDM version 2023.3.08 on Ubuntu 20.04.6

No problem whit the same database, same configuration, on W11.

Any suggestion?

Hello,

It is a known issue that has been corrected for our upcoming release.

Currently, the only way to do this is to create a "Username / Password" entry with the username and "Always ask for password" checked. Next, you need to link your credentials entry to your ssh entry by going to the properties of your ssh entry (General -> Credentials), setting it as "Linked (Vault)" and selecting your credentials entry next to it. Finally, clear all credentials from "SSH Shell -> General" and uncheck "Always ask for password" since it is handled by the credential entry created previously.
