notification subcribers (or groups) not available for scheduled report recipients

We will move this thread under feature request. If I understand correctly, you would like to be able to send a scheduled report to somebody who is not a DVLS user, am I right ? We will see what could be done for that.

While it would be useful to be able to send to non DVLS users, the primary goal is to be able to send to DVLS users via a distrution list which has been configured as a subscriber (or group). When staffing changes occur, new IT personel are added to AD distribution groups, and we want to avoid additionally going into each DVLS scheduled report and updating the receipient list.

Please let me know if you would like additional information.

I looked what we have in notification and for now, I assume that you have configure a subscriber pointing on a distribution groups defined in your active directory, am I correct ? So when you add/remove staf in the distribution group via your active directory, the right person receive the notification, correct ?

You can do something similar in the scheduled report by adding a distribution group directly in the "Email Address" field


As soon as you will update the distribution group "mygroup", the right person will receive the report. Would it work for you ? Let me know if I misunderstood your need.
