DVLS 2023.2.5.0
Hi All
We're using DVLS with Azure Authentication which works great so far.
There is also the Cache Feature active, which caches all Users and Groups every 30mins because there are other Systems which can manipulate User and Group Permissions, which also need to be set on DVLS for Vault permissions and so on.
When we disconnect the Internet Connection so DVLS is not able to communicate with Azrue anymore, then the Users are still able to login but all Users without Admin Rights dont see any Vaults anymore.
Is it normal, that DVLS will clear ALL Azure User and Group Informations when Azure cannot be reached?
Is there a Way to disable this? Because when Azure is not reachable, DVLS should remember the old Azure Informations in my opinion.
Best Regards,
Andreas
Hello Andreas,
Is disconnecting the DVLS machine from internet intended?
If so, then you can stop the Scheduler during an internet shutdown. The Scheduler is the service that triggers the refresh of the cache.
I will check with the engineering team about this behaviour and see if they can improve it.

Hi Erica
We had due a Network failure 3 Internet connection Interruptions on DVLS System.
And in all 3 cases the users couldn't access any Vaults anymore because all Users and Groups was not available anymore in DVLS.
After fixing the Connection Issue and reloading the Azure Cache, all Azure Users and Groups were back available and the access worked.
Best Regards,
Andreas
Hello Andreas,
A ticket has been submitted to the engineering department to improve this behaviour. Once a fix will be available, we will post it here.
Thank you for your patience.

Érica Poirier

Hi Francois
Thanks for the Information.
We have already the fix implemented and will see if it works, when we have the next Firewall Cluster failure 😁
