Hello,
I am looking in vain for the setting for the user to copy the passwords to the clipboard.
This is only available to the Devolution Server Admin.
Thanks a lot
Markus
Hello Markus,
If the user has the "View Password" permission, they will have the copy password button in the UI, I just verified in the 2022.3.10 release to validate.
If you do not, can you confirm what version you are using?
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Hello Markus,
Could you also verify that the user has "Connect (execute)" permission? It is required in the Devolutions Server web interface.
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Hello Richard,
thank you for your resonse. The "Connect (execute)" permissen fixes the problem.
Only in the user vaults I can't find this option to set..
Thanks

Markus
Hello Markus,
Glad it helps! For the user vault, the user is considered an admin, so it should work:
Could you confirm what version you have?
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
I see, but unfortunately this option is not available in the User Vault.
We have version 2022.3.8.0 in use.
Thanks a lot
Hello Markus,
I was able to replicate the issue with an older version of Devolutions Server (2022.2), but not on the latest version (2022.3.13). In between your version and the latest, the permission for view password, which your users are missing, is now provided automatically in the user vault.
Would it be possible to update your instance of Devolutions Server? We can provide a session, if needed.
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Hello,
I have updated the Devolutioin server today to the current version. Unfortunately the option to copy the password is still missing in the User Vault.
Do you have any idea how this can happen?
Best Regards
Markus
Hello Markus,
I am unable to replicate the issue on 2022.3.13. Can you verify if they can view the password history?
Do they have the same behavior in RDM as well?
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Hello,
I can open the password history without any problems.
When trying to access the DPS server via RDM, I get the following error message:
Translated: The DPS data source requires Remote Desktop Manager version 2021.2.28.0 or lower.
Could it be that we have a problem in the database here?
The Devolution Server users normally do not work with RDM. RDM is separate for IT only.
A Devolutions Server Vault does not handle our entries from RDM.
In the Devolutions Workspace the option for copying the passwords is available!!!
Best Regards
Markus
Hello Markus,
No need to install RDM in that case since it is working with Workspace.
Could you go to Administration and verify if you have the "Security Groups (Legacy)" option available? If so, it may be interfering with the permissions - https://kb.devolutions.net/kb_migration_security_groups_user_groups.html
If it is not the case, we may need to verify in a session, simply write to service@devolutions.net and mention this forum post!
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Hello Richard,
I do not have this menu. I only have the option "DATA SOURCE SECURITY" and "Use legacy security" under "Administration - System Settings - General".
But this is not activated.
Best Regards
Markus
Hello Markus,
I would suggest we verify the issue in a session, simply write to service@devolutions.net and mention this forum post!
Best regards,
