Auto disconnect Feature
In our department
we are discussing about the Data source disconnect feature in the Devolutions
Server which causes the RDM to disconnect from the server after a specific
amount of time:
After
letting RDM on idle for 2 hours it disconnects itself from the server fine and
it works great.
However let’s
say if a user has some RDP Sessions open, the RDM won’t disconnect from the Server
because there are still some session opened. Is there any Configuration in
combination with the Disconnect data source feature to force the RDM when
letting it on idle to disconnect from these already opened RDP Sessions ? Or
just close the connection? We don’t want to automatically log off the user,
just close the connection so the RDM can disconnect from the Server.

Hello,
The only option I think of is the Automatically close session after parameter in Administration - System Settings - Application Specific - Type Settings in RDM.

okay i have configured this setting and i will test it later. If i set this setting as an administrator, will it also be set on all RDM clients that connect to the same server ? Or does this setting only apply to that one RDM client where i set it ?

This is a global setting; it will apply to every RDM client that is connect to the data source.
