Dynamic Resolution in Linux

I cannot get Dynamic Resolution to work in Linux Mint 21 connecting to Windows Server 2016/2019. It just scales the image smaller but doesn't actually resize. Is this mode unsupported in Linux Mint? I've tried setting Dynamic Resolution in the session settings as well as the Session Type preferences. Using Remmina connecting to the same machines, its dynamic resolution works fine. Am I missing a setting somewhere? Is there a certain combination that it needs to get it to work?
