I've watched the video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=DFsRwLKWX7M that shows how to export RDM config settings from one Windows device to another, in this case my old laptop to my new one. It's very clear and seems simple, but I'm having a problem where the import complains about not finding my CFG file. The reason is that on my old laptop (which is a Domain member) my user name is 'citpaj', which is my Domain user name. Therefore my users folder, containing my AppData etc. would be C:\Users\citpaj.
However, on the new laptop my users folder is C:\Users\citpaj.<DOMAIN_NAME> - the reason is that the new laptop already had a LOCAL Windows user ID called citpaj, before I joined it to the Domain - this is normal Windows behaviour as you will know. This difference between the old and new folder paths is causing RDM to not be able to find the config settings file when I import the file - it prompts to restart before continiing the import, which I believe is normal.
Can anyone help me figure out how to import the exported config settings file?
Thanks in advance.
PJ.
Hello,
Thank you for reaching out to us regarding this,
I have a few questions which you can hopefully answer.
Could you provide me a screenshot of the error message when you attempt the import?
Let me know,
Best regards,
