Allow user to see just an item in a subfolder rather than the whole tree to that subfolder

Hi,

consider this scenario:

vault
folder 1 inherit from vault
folder2 inherit from folder1
rdp session1 inherit from folder2
rdp session2 inherit from folder2
rdp session3 inherit from folder2

I want to give a user view/connect rights to just "rdp session1", so when he logs in he sees:
vault
rdp session1

If i give rdpsession1 just view/connect overriding the inheritance permission, when the user logs in he can only see:
vault
and nothing else.
rdp session1 is searchable, but that is an extra step id like to avoid.

Is there a way of accomplishing this?

Thanks

Hello,

The users / User groups will require view permission (only this one) to the involved folders.
Another way would be through shortcuts.
This way you can add a folder (at the root) with the shortcut version of this entry, so you don't have a bunch of "denies" on all the entries you don't need them to see...
You can read more about shortcuts here : https://kb.devolutions.net/rdm_creating_shortcuts.html

I hope this helps!

Best regards,
