Hi,
I have installed devolutions server in our environment. We have an request to manage the active directory user account and password especially for the service accounts.
Create the account in Devolution server and write back the my AD. Please let me the possibility for the same.
Hi,
Do you mean that you would like to create your user in Devolutions Server first, than push that user in the Active Directory (AD) ?
Best regards,
François Dubois
Yes. You are right. especially I would like to manage the service accounts through Devolution server. I would like to create the accounts in DVLS then push it to Active Directory (AD).
Hello,
Is there any update on my request.? Planning to delegate some user to create only service accounts in Devolutions server and push it to AD.
Please let me know the possibility.
Hello,
Account provisioning is indeed on the roadmap, but not for the June release sadly. This is because for us it fits in the whole JIT access of the PAM space.
For your scenario, it may be not even in the PAM, just to have a capability to delegate domain admin work on a workflow by workflow basis, am I understanding correctly?
Maurice
Even it is there in the PAM solution, I can delegate few IT persons to create the service accounts via DVLS. First create the account in DVLS and push it to AD.
Is there any update on the above request to create the users in Devolutions server and push it to AD?
Hi,
Unfortunately, it is not planned for our next release in fall. But we still have your request in our backlog.
Best regards,
François Dubois
Do you have any timeframe that the feature is available in devolution server?
I have bunch of service accounts to be created in Devolutions and push it to AD.
Hello, we could not fit this in our release that’s coming out soon (2022.3).
I will see about adding it in the next one, it will require a lot of backend modifications as it is a whole new feature set.
Best regards,
Maurice
