.Net 4.8 Required for 2022.1.9.0, and ASP .Net 4.7 in IIS

Hello:

I've newly upgraded to 2022.1.9.0. After fixing a few things, I notice under IIS Diagnostics, ASP .Net 4.7 is still used for IIS.
Is this supposed to be?

Also, I had to reinstall IIS Application Request Routing (ARR) inside the IIS Diaganostic.

Thank you.

Hello,

About the IIS Disgnostic page, is it this one you see that ASP .Net 4.7 is displayed?

About ARR, I presume you have uninstalled it and reinstall a new version. Do you remember the version that was installed before that operation?

Hello Erica:

I believe the previous version that was installed was 2021.2.13.0... I upgraded to 2022.1.9.0. In the process, .Net 4.8 was installed. In the IIS diagnostics, when I saw that ARR was not installed, I clicked on the Install Prerequisites button. This installed ARR.

It was then that I noticed that ASP .NET 4.7 was present in Devolutions IIS Diagnostic, and not 4.8. So, it looks like even though the update to 2022.1.9.0 stated that it completed successfully, Devolutions is still pointing to ASP .Net 4.7. Should I try the Update process again?

And yes, the IIS Diagnostics page you have above is the one I am referring to.

When I check to see the .Net version installed using Powershell, I get:

Hello,

Thank you for your feedback.

What Windows Server version are you using?

This ASP .Net 4.7 is tied to the IIS version that is running on the server. Here is what I see on a Windows Server 2012R2 that runs IIS version 8. And DVLS is running flawlessly on that server.

It's not related to the .Net Framework you have installed while updating the DVLS Console.

So no there is no need to run the upgrade process again.

Let me know if you have any further questions.
