VPN integration

Hi Dear Developers,
we need a VPN connection to connect to some of our customers.
There is no feature available for this yet.
At the moment, we need to connect to our customers manually over CLI.
Best practise would be a click-to-connect solution, like in the windows Version.
We need to use the following VPNs:

  • OpenVPN
  • Cisco Anyconnect

Agreed, Just to confirm i can see any connect in the VPN option but it seems to be all greyed out.
Is that normal for functions just to be greyed out if they cant be used? or would they just not be present in the applicatin
Cheers

Hi Rob,

The answer is, it depends.
Rule of thumb, if we don't support something, good chance it won't be displayed.
However, some not supported features might greyed out or even accessible but not functional. This is to prevent either data loss or crashes when RDM Linux connects to a data source access by other, more matured, version of RDM.

Hi Iroth,

We still do not support OpenVPN directly BUT! If you can control your VPN using a command line, the Custom VPN entry should work fine until then.
