I need some help configuring VNC entries so they work with our Linux clients as well. I'm using the latest version RDM for Linux.
Right now, accessing a VNC client entry gives the following screen:
Not sure what to fill in there exactly, but let's say I choose RealVNC:
(RemoteDesktopManager:17943): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 14:46:53.887: g_object_get_qdata: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
(RemoteDesktopManager:17943): GLib-GObject-WARNING **: 14:46:53.887: invalid unclassed pointer in cast to 'GtkWidget'
(RemoteDesktopManager:17943): Gtk-CRITICAL **: 14:46:53.887: gtk_widget_get_window: assertion 'GTK_IS_WIDGET (widget)' failed
(RemoteDesktopManager:17943): GLib-GObject-CRITICAL **: 14:46:53.887: g_object_unref: assertion 'G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed
How do I for example, give the location of RealVNC and where it is installed?
Hi,
It seems your VNC session is set as external.
If this isn't a requirement, you could switch to an embedded session.
Right click on your entry, select Properties at the bottom of the menu.
Change the display mode from External to Embedded (tabbed), save and retry your connection.
Let me know if this is acceptable or not.
