No PAM-Section in DVLS
Hi Support-Team,
I'm struggling with my staging setup.
We have DVLS Platinum and RDM Global so our license should enable PAM.
Our Prod-System and our Test-System (clone of Prod) do have PAM enabled.
For testing purpose of other features I created a new Staging-System with a fresh installation of DVLS using our DVLS-Platinum-License.
But there is no PAM to find in config.
I've done this procedure 2 times following your online help and my setups are always working as expected - except that on fresh installations I get no PAM.
DVLS 2021.2.13.0 Fresh install, no upgraded data.
RDM 2021.2.23.0
Am I missing something?

Hello Markus,
Is the Privileged Access button available in Administration - Server Settings?
If so then you need to check Enable PAM option in Administration - Server Settings - Privileged Access.
If not, then you need a PAM license to enable it. Let us know if it's the case.

thank you for your fast response.
That's my problem:
Administration - Server Settings - Privileged Access.
is not available/visible - not there.
It's very strange.
I'll try to set up the server with an old DVLS-Version and see if it works there.
Later today I have a appointment with Richard and I hope to get it working till then....

Richard will send you a PAM license for you to test it. This license must be added in Administration - Licenses.

thank you for contacting Richard, he sent me the PAM-Key, I'll try it.
As for my Tests:
I installed now DVLS 2020.3.22.0 (because this version I had a ZIP-File) and PAM is available there.
After upgrading the instance to DVLS 2021.2.13.0 PAM is gone.
I did a second run, installing DVLS 2020.3.22.0, PAM is available.
This time I activated PAM, saved, upgraded to DVLS 2021.2.13.0.
After that, PAM is still active.
The problem is definitely related to your new DVLS 2021.2.x-Versions or license-check.

Thank you for your feedback.
In fact it's an intended behaviour. The DVLS instance needs to respect these 2 conditions to have the PAM module available without the need to add a PAM license in version 2021.2.13.
- DVLS license purchased before September 2020.
- Have the PAM option already enabled in the older DVLS version (prior to 2021.2.13).

So for next renewal we would have to license DVLS Platinum plus PAM separately?
