What to do with multiple serials for Devolutions Server

Hi,

Renewing our License for Devolutions Server we have been provided with three serials. (and another serial for Remote Desktop Manager but that was pretty straight forward)

After launching Devolutions Server Console and hitting Edit I see as field labelled Server and another labelled User CAL

I entered the first serial into the Server field, hit OK and saw that the expiration date had updated which is all well and good but in which case, not sure why I have three serials. Tried entering the other serials in the Server Field and each were accepted when I clicked on OK. Then tried putting each in User CAL, Again no error but I didn't notice any change.

I'm sure it's not a problem as it's been this way for a few years and I just do the same, enter each serial into each field and it seems to work out. But I'd still like to understand what's going in.

Hello,

The 3 license keys you have received are only for the server and not the User CAL. They can be used to deploy 3 different Devolutions Server (DVLS) instances. We recommend, if possible, to spin up a second DVLS instance for testing purpose for the future upgrades of the application or to test different scenarios in a staging environment before doing it in production.
