Years passes and despite various promises in past, I see that there isn't yet a support for login using a SAML or OIDC federation.
We are in 2021, and SSO protocols are very popular and it's amazing that software like RDM / Devolutions still doesn't support them.
Do you have any indication on this? is on the roadmap?
We have been authorized to start on OpenID, it is planned for the 2021.3 release.

This is a great news!
Just for confirmation, the OIDC login flow will be supported also on RDM?
If you are open to beta test that feature I'm available.
Thanks
Hello,
We have no choice but to support it in RDM, but only when connecting to a DVLS instance.
For comparison sake, when we integrate with Office365 we have in fact three point of access to the Identity Provider (IdP), the web app, RDM, and finally our Scheduler (it refreshes the group cache). We'll have a better idea of the task at hand when we have completed a preliminary assessment.
Best Regards,
Maurice
Hello Maurice,
I'm writing just to ask if there is any news about the support for OIDC or SAML in DVLS
Thanks
Hello,
We implemented OAuth in the release that comes out on Feb 16th. These authentication protocol/standards each have their particularities, so we need to implement them one at a time. The first iteration offers AzureAD, we plan on integrating Okta in the next.
Best regards,
Maurice
To be honest I'm a little bit disappointed. We waited that feature for a long time and it was postponed many times. OIDC is a standard and limit it to a single vendor is not what we expect when we think about SSO.
Moreover why start with AzureAD since you have already an integration for Office365?
I hope that you think about release OIDC as customizable, in order to use it with any IdP.
Thanks

Hi Maurice,
New version of DPS Server & RDM are available now but I didn't find any documentation to How implement OAUTH authente with in.
I just find this link which is not include a lot of details to implement it: Access URI (devolutions.net)
We encountered an issue with AD Authente since the end of 2021 which avoid us to use all the last version of RDM.
O365 Authent could be a solution but it's not perfect regarding the use we have with certain service account (MFA impact).
But Oauth (SAML) could be the right way to solve our issue.
Could you tell me where to find more procedure/documentation to implement it with DPS and RDM ?
Thanks
@Philippe Merigot,
It seems that you have opened a case in our ticketing system at the same time that you have posted in this thread.
The ticket has been transferred into our new ticketing system and a message was sent to you 2 days ago via service@devolutions.net. Make sure that this email address is whitelisted on your system.

Hi @Jeff
I understand you moove your ticketing system and I should use in a futur service@devolutions.net i a way to open a case.
I opened this one to find some answers to my questions you can see here and I received correctly the reply mail from James Lafleur.
But with your new ticketing system, where is the portal we can use to see all our cases we opnened ?
The last one (Atlassian) seems to not be used now (which is logic with your migration) and I did not find any communication with a new support portal ?
Thanks
Philippe
@Phlippe Merigot,
We don't have a customer portal with this new system for now. It's in the discussion internally, but for now, it's only email exchange that is supported with this system.

Hello,
is there any news about generic OIDC (or at least Okta) support in DVLS?
Thanks
Hello Fabio,
Okta support is planned for the 2022.2 release, which should release next month (June)!
Best regards,
Richard Boisvert
Its on the roadmap for this cycle (June), but time is short.
It may not be in the initial build but we can add it in a minor update because it doesn't impact other features.
Maurice
Thank you!
If you need help with a beta test, I'm available. Let me know
