When LDAPS not available no login to webinterface possible

Hello,

we use DPS Server in version 2020.3.17.0 on a Windows Server 2016.

We observed that if we have LDAPs enabled (in DPS) and LDAPs ist not available on our domain controllers, no login via admin web console is possible.

I changed the App Settings via SQL Server Management Studio in the MSSQL Database Table: dbo.AppSettings
(see attached screenshot). --> Value from "true" to "false".

After changing the value and restarting the DPS Instance, the login was possible.

Maybe is there a possibility to generate a fallback method, if ldaps is not available?

Best regards

Hello,

Thank you for reporting this problem.

We will investigate this issue and try to reproduce it internally. We will keep you posted on this.

As a workaround, we recommend to enable the Authenticate with Devolutions Server custom user option to have at least a break glass account for emergency if the domain authentication is not possible, no matter the reason of the outage.
