Unwanted replacement of a slash

Unwanted replacement of a slash

avatar

Hello,

i am using DPS 2020.3.12.0 and Chrome Extention Devolutions Web Login 2021.1.5.0.

We use a web portal where the username looks like this: <Tenant>/<Username>
Login only works with a forward slash, but the browser plugin always replaces the forward slash with a backslash and the login fails.

Regards,
Thomas

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!

Have you created the website entry used by the Devolutions Web Login extension in your Devolutions Server directly or using the Devolutions Web Login extension itself? Would it be possible for you to navigate to this website and use the DWL extension to create a new website entry with the correct username format?

Also, would it be possible for you to provide me the URL of a website that uses a similar login method? With this, I will be able to see if I can reproduce this behavior.

Best regards,

Hello James,

i dont remember if i created the entry with the browser plugin or manually using rdm.
I use Devolutions Web Login directly connected to DPS.

In need to store the Password for this Page:
https://servicedesk.esys.at/

Unfortunately I cannot provide a login, as this would require a license fee.

Hello Thomas,

Thank you for your quick reply and for providing my this URL.

According to my tests, even if the username has the format <Tenant>/<Username>, it is retained when the credentials are submitted to the webpage. For this reason, would it be possible for you to create a new website entry directly from the DWL extension and see if the same issue occurs?

Best regards,

Hello James,

in fact, i had several entries with the same name. One of them was misspelled.
When checking in the DPS web ui last time, i could not see this problem at first glance.

So ther is no problem and forward slash is not getting replaced.

Kind Regards,
Thomas
