Hi!

We are having problems with getting RDM to work with the above version of DPS. DPS is backed by a SQL Express 2017 DB.

Currently when I try to login (using Windows Authentication) it get a error in the RDM client stating that "DVLS Server did not repsond in time. Check your connection or try increasing the connection timeout."

Sometimes I can login, but any action has a 15 second delay before being executed when inside RDM.

DPS webpage works as it should and is fast.

When looking in the log for RDM there is a lot of MoveNext() errors

This is when we in DPS have under Administration/Server settings/Authentication / domain the Username format set to UPN. If we change that to Username it seems to work to login but takes loong time to save new entries or it just crashes when trying to save a new entry with unexpect exception & a lot of movenext events and in the server logs it says DirectoryServiceCOmException - the user name or password is incorrect.

A bit of a rambling, but anything that makes sense and can be used to point me in any specific direction?

So it seems that RDM crashes and the backup complains about he DirectoryServiceCOMException whenever I try to change/add something though RDM - but the change is done when I restart RDM and login.

And If I select EDIT & OK on the datasource dots in the navigation pane I do reauthenticated into RDM/DPS. But after a couple of seconds same error is thrown.
Just pressing Refresh from the action pane after the error box is confirmed produces the error straight away.

Thank you for contacting us on that matter!

Would it be possible for you to provide us a screenshot of the error message that comes up in RDM? As for the crash, do you have anything relevant in your Help -> Applications logs or your Windows Event Viewer?

Also, would it be possible for you to provide me a screenshot of your File -> Data Sources -> Advanced window? I would like to see how you are currently configured.

Event log doesnt say anything - I got a couple of pictures of the error messages, can I send them to support since they are coming from my cellphone....

Have you tried to set the Username and Password in the data source configuration in RDM (File - Data Sources)? Do you get the same issues?

The Username or UPN parameter in Administration - Server Settings - Authentication - Domain is used for new account creation. Do you have any duplicate accounts in the users list in different username formats?

I think it would be easier to open a support ticket at ticket@devolutions.net and then we could have a remote session for deeper investigation.

No duplicate accounts, I've tried and removed all accounts exept the Adminaccount and have DPS autocreate the accounts on login.

I will send a email with attached screenshots of the error messages
