I recently ran into an issue whereby my DPH instance stopped working (Issue is being investigated presently) which left me without even offline data so I was restricted to what I could do without my DataSource entries, it got me thinking that DPH is sorely lacking some sort of backup feature like what Devolutions Online Drive had. So, my request is for a cloud based encrypted backup feature in DPH Personal & Business for Disaster recovery type scenarios. It would need to be isolated from the main DataSource i.e. file or ideally backup to cloud based storage i,e, Google Drive or Microsoft OneDrive for Business.
If this could be added as a backup feature and not just import / export functionality I would certainly sleep better.
Keep up the magnificent work Devolutions I use your apps daily so keep the developments coming (with my feature request too pls hint hint lol)

Hi John,
Thank you for your feedback and your patience with the issue. We will be adding vault backup for end-users to our backlog. I would like to take this opportunity to ask you what would you like to have in your backup and why?
Thank you, have a good day!

Ok good to hear its coming soon but will that be both DPS personal and business??
The reasons why I'd want to have DPS backup is related to my original post I'd like to have the data in backup form isolated from the DPS instance itself so that in case something goes wrong I can fall back to the data locally in RDM.
I'm just trying to prevent what happened to me recently which was losing access to my DPS personal instance and its data, the issues being investigated by support and Ive d managed to find a workaround to the original issue but still Its only to prevent this in the future, it made me think that having all my PAM data on DPS may not be ideal for disaster recovery. Granted it has a recycle bin but again that doesn't get around losing access completely from any technical issues.
Id obviously requires having 1, Entry backup with 2. 3. & 4. as nice to have if it's there.
I realise it's bound to happen occasionally but as mentioned it caused me to rethink my use of Cloud based Password manager type apps.

Hi John,
In the latest RDM release, we enabled the online backups Hub Personal, like the one available the one available on Devolutions Online Drive, SQLite and XML data sources (https://helpcloud.devolutions.net/onlinebackup_introduction.html). It will backup you entries, without the attachments/documents.
A more complete integration from the website is also in our backlog.
Thank you, have a good day

Unfortunately, I need it for DPH Business Aswell, Ill must stick to the RDM Export feature.
As mentioned my original request It would be great if a cloud based Encrypted Backup feature could be added, with or without Scheduling option Aswell as various storage options??

Hi John,
As mentionned previously, for Password Hub Business (PHB), it has been added to the backlog, but as of right now it is not part of the next release (2021.3). There are a couple of reasons why.
To be honest, we hope to work on that early the next year, but I can't promise anything yet. We still have a lot of catching up to do compare to more mature data sources (SQL-S, DPS).
Have a good day!

Thanks for the update, I do currently use RDM to export PHB as mentioned above when the need arises although i do worry to its unencrypted state. As to 3, I was envisioning Backup in the Administration section for Privileged users to be able to use for selected Vaults an encrypted / password protected Output format which is downloadable as a min or other targets as a possibility addition. But going from 1, it sounds like this feature wouldn't be needed if contacting support can help with data in PHB although it would still be a nice to have when your time permits.
