switch between full screen apps on remote mac

Hi,

currently the is no way of switching between full screen apps if the remote client you are controlling is a MAC,

for example,
i go out take my tablet with me, connect into my mac from my tablet,
open up mail, the mail app then goes full screen automatically,
i am then stick in mail as the is no way of opening another application

it would be amazing to have shortcuts in all of the waykclient apps (mac, windows, ios, android, RDM)
to either swipe left or right between the full screen apps

you could send the hot keys thats are default on mac (CTRL+LEFT OR CTRL+RIGHT)
HOWEVER sadly i tried this using the CTRL and left arrows already in the waykclient app but it doesnt seem to work?

Simon

Hi Simon

In the past we've discussed adding gesture support to the protocol, but it's a low priority. However, I'm not sure why the hotkeys aren't working - we will look into it, and I'll post back here with our findings.

Thanks and kind regards,

Hi Richard,
no worries if the swipe gestures aren't possible at the moment, but it would be very helpful for the hotkeys!
however im more confused like you said, as to why the key combo doesnt work
I was using my android tablet to control my mac
I pressed the CTRL key and then the right arrow key but it didnt work
ive also tried double clicking the CTRL key to hold it, and then press the right arrow keys, but that still doesnt work either?
strange?

Hi Simon

I was able to reproduce the issue (on iOS rather than Android). It's extremely strange: the key combination is properly sent to the Agent but for some reason the OS doesn't act on it. It's not a general problem with pressing shortcuts, because for example [Command]+Space invokes Spotlight, and if I change the "spaces" shortcut to [Ctrl]+1 and [Ctrl]+2, that also works.

We'll have to do some more research on this. There is a (private) API for changing spaces; we might be able to map that to an action button as a last resort. I'll enter a ticket and post back here once I have some more news.

Thanks and kind regards,
