This is for both RDM and Password Hub. In RDM in a credential entry it has an option for username format under advanced, but that still limits it to a single format no matter where it is used and often different username formats are required for different uses. To prevent requiring multiple copies of the same credentials, would it be possible to add username format option to places where credentials would be used, sessions, websites, etc and bring all this functionality into the Password Hub site/app?
Thanks.
David
Hi David,
I will double check this, but I believe the username format option is already there on sessions in RDM. With that being said, you are absolutely right that this feature is missing from the web client and desktop app. I will add it to the backlog.
Thank you, have a good day!

You're correct, the username format is an option on the sessions in RDM, I guess I looked at a website entry from my Hub in RDM and made an assumption about the sessions. Thanks for looking into the rest.
Hi David,
Thank you for confirming that sessions have the username format option. We also added to the backlog the option for Websites. Meanwhile, you could use the Web Browser entry to get the option. The Web Browser entry is considered a session and the option is already available. Sadly, Web Browsers are currently not supported in the web client; we are working on that as I type.
I'm not sure if you are aware, but the session username format overwrites the one specified in the credentials, if any. This could help you reduce the amount of duplication needed. If websites do get the option to set the username format, would that be enough for your use case? If not, can you give us more details on your specific use case? (Keep in mind, that a feature request was already added in the Hub Business backlog to support username format correctly.)
Thank you, have a good day!

Hi David,
Just to let you know that we deployed an update version of Hub Business yesterday, the option on Username format is now available in the web interface entries.
Thanks again.
