Hello Yannis,

Are you referring to https://den.wayk.net/? If so, it has been discontinued.

If it is for a private Wayk Bastion, we would need more information on your configuration. As a reference, the following site has more information on the configuration on Wayk Bastion: https://docs.devolutions.net/wayk/bastion/index.html

Thanks for the quick response,
so there is no easy way to use Wayk channel as before with the https://den.wayk.net/ ?
No Wayk Dashboard for private Wayk Bastion? Just bookmarks on the client?

... I am using one year WaykNow subscription.

Hi Yannis,

The Wayk dashboard was removed about two weeks ago, and you are the first to notice it is gone. We encourage you to deploy your own private Wayk Bastion server, but in the meantime, the best option would be to make bookmarks in Wayk Client. Don't forget you can create bookmarks using the unique id rather than the 6-digit id that can sometimes change.

Best regards,

You guys are joking right? I mean, no notification that I recall and it's just gone? I have clients on there that I can't easily recreate access to! What am I supposed to do now? Build a server, and just wait for clients to complain so I know which ones I had on there?!?

Hi,

Just to clarify: we didn't pull the plug on the public Wayk Bastion (den.wayk.net), but we did remove the Wayk Dashboard (https://dashboard.wayk.net/) that was only usable to find machines which you registered for unattended access using your Devolutions account. This was never meant as a way to register machines for other people because the registration is tied to a user account. Are you saying you manually logged in and registered machines for unattended access for all of your customers using the same Devolutions account? If not, the deprecation of the Wayk Dashboard should not be a problem.

I would install wayk now and then go to settings and register the comptuer onto my wayk den account. From then on I simply went to dashboard.wayk.net to do unattended remote access. I had a dozen or so computers on there.

Hi,

Ok, I see what you did there. We didn't expect people to use it like that, but this means you are now stuck without bookmarks. What I suggest is that tomorrow we look into extracting the list of target IDs for machines associated with your Devolutions account, such that you could create bookmarks. We would just need to know which Devolutions account to look for (your email).

Really? I thought that was the only way to use it. Bookmarks don't travel from computer to computer and the den was the only way I could get access to any of them where ever I happen to be. I do both field and remote so I never know what computer I will have available to me at any time. I will PM you my email address. I appreciate your help. As you might imagine, I happened to be needing it like right now cuz a client expects me to remote in, so this was definitely a surprise.

Hi,
I have exactly the same problem. Without a dashboard or a console with the guests, the client is useless. Every free remote desktop app offers more. I have paid a subscription just for the dashboard - console.

Hi Yannis,

I get your point about the dashboard, but this is exactly why we have decided to move away from it. With the public Wayk Bastion, your best option would be to save bookmarks. The real deal would still be to make a private Wayk Bastion deployment which would give you a proper way to get what you need, and everything else you probably didn't know you could have that we already offer.

I made a quick 30 second video showing parts of the Wayk Bastion web interface, a connection made using the native Wayk Client and another one using the Web Wayk Client. You can see the machine listing is much more elaborate and powerful in the real Wayk Bastion product: https://twitter.com/awakecoding/status/1328880185991630851

How many users do you support?

Hi,
Last days I was hoping to have access to about 10 - 15 machines.

Hi,

To help you retrieving your servers information, we restarted the service on https://dashboard.wayk.net. It is now available. But we suggest you to create bookmarks on your side because we don't plan to support that service forever. We don't know yet when we will pull the plug from it, but it is our plan. We plan to remove the registration option from the UI in Wayk Agent soon so you will not be able to register more host. So the best solution for you now is to use bookmarks.

As my colleague Marc-André said, there is a lot more features with Wayk Bastion and our effort is more on that product. We invite you to have a look to it and don't hesitate if you have questions.

Best regards,

François Dubois
