There is also a urgent need for the extensions manger, because I'd like to add Winbox to RemoteDesktopManager (most important feature for me) and I think there are also lots of other extensions which may be very useful for Linux Users.
Kind regards
Andreas

Hi.

What I think you are referring to is the AddOn Manager.
Unfortunately, we don't plan on supporting addons for now as this is a very Windows specific feature.

Hi Jonathan!
Are there any news/updates on this topic?
I wasn't using RemoteDesktopManager for the last 2 years 'cause of the missing Winbox-functionality.

I would be very glad if there would be a solution to implement this feature under Linux.

I am looking forward to hearing from you.

Best regards

Hi,

Addon manager still isn't a feature we plan on supporting.
I could up the priority on the "Command Line" entry, assuming WInbox accepts command line parameters.
Winbox would run externally but would be driven by RDM. Would that be acceptable?

Hi Jonathan!

Thank you for the suggestion.

I need to have the following things in one entry in order to start winbox.

  • Possibility of port knocking (with Bash/Shell)
  • Opening winbox (possible with Shell Command and giving the IP, User and Password as options)

That winbox runs externally is no problem at all. I just want to organize the entries through RDM and combine the entries with port knocking.

Greetings

Hi,

Looks like WInbox (through wine) supports command line arguments for host, username and password.
And we do support port knocking.
I think we can come up with something, I'll open a ticket.

Hi,

We will update this thread once the feature is done (when possible we provide an ETA for the release that will contain the feature).
You can also read the "new features" section of our release notes.

Hi andreas1,

The Command Line entry has been implemented internally and the update containing this new feature should be made available by the end of the week. If anything seems to be missing or you have further questions, don't hesitate to contact us.
