den-side Branding on mac broken after un- and reinstall

so to make sure I have the PKG version of the mac wayk installed, I removed the current wayk version by draggin it into the trash bin from the application folder, then deleting it from there (not exactly sure if that is proper procedure but I read that that's how you remove mac applications that dont have an x in launchpad) and then downloading the pkg and going through the setup process. after that I noticed that settings were apparently kept, but branding was weird. the banner color and strings were apparently as in the branding however the images were default.

I tried so far the following, unsuccessfully.

• changing the den to default and then back (color and strings changed along, pictures didnt)
• deleting the branding zip to force a re-download.
